Christmas Cloche - Dollar Store Crafting

Several weeks ago I ran into the Dollar Tree and they were just putting out their Christmas Decorations which put me in the Holiday creative and shopping spirit! In fact I was in such a good mood about Christmas that I'm having a 20% off sale in my Etsy Shop Alyssabeths sale ends Saturday morning Nov. 19.
I was surprised how cute and glittery the ornaments and decorations were and grabbed up several and began wandering around the store where I found one round vase and I knew instantly that I needed to create a Christmas Cloche (or as my husband calls it the snow glove without snow).
Supplies:
Candle Stick - $1.00
Round Glass Vase $1.00
Styrofoam Circle $1.00
Glass House Ornament - $1.00
Little Snowman - $1.00
Little Trees - $1.00
Christmas Scrapbook paper
Cotton Balls
White Snow Glitter
White Spray Paint
Glue - heavy duty
I spray painted the candlestick white.  While the candle stick dried I covered the Styrofoam disk with coordinating Christmas scrapbook paper and Mod Podge for extra durability and to water proof the paper a little.  Once the candle stick was dry, several days later I attached the paper covered disk and then set about arranging my little snow scene and yep the snow was created with cotton balls and glitter!  I did add more glitter to the house ornament as well as decroating the windows with green & red puff paint. When the little snow scene was dry I glued the inverted round vase which I then accented with a large red bead (which was left over from another Christmas Craft that I will list next week).

Happy Holidays and Happy Crafting !
