Holiday JOY Sign Tutorial - Dollar Store Crafting

Here I go again, more Dollar Tree Crafts!  I should really stay out of that place, I've gotten to where I only pay cash and then hide my finds when I get home so my hubby won't notice all the new craft supplies.  I guess when you think about it, it's not that bad
of an addiction, lol.

One of our family traditions was to hang miniature candy canes on the             Christmas tree, so I've loved candy canes ever since.  Dollar Tree had a string of the most adorable plastic candy canes, and turned up side down they make a perfect "J".

Supplies:
  • Three small frames
  • Candy cane ornament
  • Plastic ball ornaments
  • Beads
  • Ribbon
  • Decorative Christmas paper
  • Glue

First spray paint the frames to your color of choice, I chose black because I thought it would make the color pop and it goes with my front den decor.  While the frames are drying cover the frames cardboard inset with your holiday themed paper, I used scrapbook paper that I already had on hand, but wrapping paper would work just great. Glue the little plastic candy cane down, oh tie a bow around it first.  Second cute the plastic ball Christmas ornament in 1/2, glue onto the second paper covered inset.  The lastly create a "Y" with various fun holiday beads on the third covered inset.

Once the frames are dry simply pop the decorated insets into them, and there you have it a very easy and inexpensive Christmas JOY sign!  So tell me what you think!

Happy Holidays and Happy Crafting!
