Flowers for Mother's Day

I cannot believe that this weekend is already Mother's Day!  Granted, mine is a little different because my step-kids of course spend the day with their mom, but they always call me and give me a wonderful gift.  My hubby is fabulous and always treats me with a great day, this year it's a Jazz Brunch and then the Mayfest Festival in Ft. Worth.

Coral Pink Rose & Aqua Tulip Earrings Aorable spring earrings handcrafted with coral pink rose cabochons & drops of pastel aqua tulips with ivory pearls and are suspended from antique brass French ear hooks accented with tiny ivory white pearls.  Rose cabochons are set on shiny brass lace edge settings and measure ¾” across. Believe it or not Mother's Day is just around the corner!  We always do brunch at one of my favorite restaurants in the FT. Worth, Texas area Buttons Restaurant, they always have the best Sunday Jazz Brunch.  The food and the music always make for a special Sunday Brunch !

Inspired by the clear blue skies of Summer, Feminine, vintage style set of Hair Pins or Bobby Pins. Handcrafted with a large white glitter Dragonfly, blue floral bouquet & lotus flower resin cabochons, all three are set on lacey antiqued brass filigree. Hair pins measure 2” in length, including the diamond shaped lace filigree. The dragonfly measures a little over 2” across.

Vintage English Abbey Red Transferware Gravy Boat and Under Plate

Wonderfully Shabby Chic Red Transferware Gravy Boat and oval under Plate set. English Abbey pattern by T S and T or Taylor, Smith and Taylor, USA in the 1920-1930s, and features an English landscape design with abbey ruins taken from a much older English design. The embossed plate measures 7 1/5” across, gravy boat measures 9” from tip of spout to end of handle. Both pieces have no crazying or cracks, but both have small chips, the gravy boat chip is on the spout and the chip on the platter in on the underside.

BEST Team Featured Artist - Just Peachy

I think one of my favorite things about writing my weekly feature is reading the “about me” feature on everyone’s blogs.   Take  my feature for this week, Rachel with Just Peachy, not only is she a newlywed and apparently the most patient woman that I know, they dated for 10 years before getting married (I think I had 2 different husbands in 10 years at one time), so congratulations Miss Rachel!!!!!   But the lucky girl lives in Orlando!  Her friends and coworkers have dubbed her “Martha Stewart” because she will try anything creative, don’t worry they just have glitter envy, lol.   It takes a brave soul to delve into different mediums, because as we know it is not nearly….. as easy as Martha Stewart makes it look!

I also have a thing for buttons, I have drawers of them that I've collected forever and I don't sew.  Go figure.  So, I anytime I see a creation of repurposing project with buttons my eyes get a sparkle!!  Rachel has created soem really adorable earrings, necklaces and bracelets with buttons, all of which look great with the cute origami ring!
