I loved the bones of this Art Deco little vanity I found on craigslist. Once I got it home though, I found that it definitely had a lot more wear and tear than I originally realized. I had to rebuild the large bottom drawer and fill in a lot of places where the veneer had popped off all over the vanity. Lots of sanding, more glue and more nails, one furniture appliqué, two coats of Kilz and two coats of paint, new painted knobs, and glass to protect the flat surfaces and the final product, I think is a very sweet and elegant vanity for my teenage daughter’s room. We are in the process of changing over from the pink days to a more grown0up black and white décor. Next, to tackle the 1890’s Chifarobe !
